Pressure vessels include all closed vessels that are subjected to fluid pressure loads. Pressure vessels are the main equipment in the petrochemical production process. We must pay attention to the following points when operating pressure vessels:
-
Suitable procedures must be established and maintained for identifying the material making up the components of the equipment which contribute to pressure resistance by suitable means from receipt, through production, up to the final test of the manufactured pressure equipment.
-
In order to enable the equipment to carry out normal operation, testing, and maintenance, the shell and head of the pressure vessel must generally have holes. Such as material import and export; connection holes for measuring pressure, temperature and installation of safety devices; liquid level gauge holes, manholes and hand holes, etc.
-
Pressure vessel design is based on given working conditions and process dimensions, considering the requirements of manufacturing, installation and maintenance, and load analysis and stress analysis on the correct selection of materials for each component of the pressure vessel.
